Information

INFO1

An ATT CCC activity is created when a business partner needs information regarding a claim or leave. In some cases, the activity will be placed after an outbound telephone call has been placed and the information could not be obtained. There may also be an ATT CCC placed proactively to help obtain a functional update throughout the duration of the claim without an OTC having been placed.
  • Obtaining a functional update from the EE, such as OV dates, recovery status & symptoms, ADL’s, RTW plans and/or barriers, etc, allows the specialist to assess if there is capacity to perform occupational duties or not.
  • When the ATT CCC is appropriately addressed and documented, this can trigger an automatic review and expediate the decision process.
If an ATT CCC goes unaddressed by a CBA, this can result in a delay of the claim or leave review. The specialist often needs these questions answered as part of an ongoing file review, which delays the review for the claimant.

This negatively impacts the claimant, and results in additional work on the business partner as they will need to continue to call the agent to obtain the information. This can also result in an audit deduction for CBA's per the Accuracy Program Overview

INFO3

Below are types of ATTCCC’s that you may see and how to appropriately document.

NaviLink:

  • The document notes of a Phone Call Details activity will help you identify the type of ATT CCC, and the status will help you determine if it is pended, completed, or cancelled.
  • The date column for ATT CCC activities are simply reminders for the claim owner to follow-up to confirm if the information has been obtained yet or not.
